1. How many materials is this made from?

 

2. The black glue is made using charcoal, pitch pine (the sticky sap from a tree) and one other secret ingredient.  What do you think this ingredient is?

 

3. This would have been quite a precious item for a Stone Age person to own and they wouldn’t have wanted to lose it.  Why was this?

ANSWER: 6

 

2. The black glue is made using charcoal, pitch pine (the sticky sap from a tree) and one other secret ingredient.  What do you think this ingredient is?

 

ANSWER: Rabbit poo! (The small pieces of grass in it held the glue together).

 

3. This would have been quite a precious item for a Stone Age person to own and they wouldn’t have wanted to lose it.  Why was this?

 

ANSWER: Because it would have taken so long to make.
