ANSWER: As a light in the soldier’s tents.

2. How do you think it worked?

ANSWER: It was filled with oil and the white wick was lit.

3. The Romans liked to remember their Gods by putting images of them on lamps and other items like these.  Why was this important to them?

ANSWER: Because many were very religious and wanted to remember their Gods.
